Christmastime

Okay so this post is a little late, but I was cleaning out some pictures on my phone and I found these that I had forgotten about and decided they were still blog-worthy so I'm going to post them and hopefully you get a laugh out of them. We were at our ward Christmas dinner and during the Christmas message, my dad got a little bored, and this is what he decided to do. (PS The pictures aren't so hot because they were with my phone but oh well)

He got the butter and the butter knife and started scraping and molding the butter into a car.

Then he added on the wheels, windshield, and rearview mirrors.

Then he added the number 53 and made Herbie the Love Bug!!

This is me and my favorite little cousin Belle!!!
Needless to say, this was probably the best ward Christmas dinner I have been too. We have never had as much fun as we did that night! And then we moved the car next to a different family so we didn't look like we were guilty.

Why I love Chris Carrell

He's my best friend.
He NEVER can take a serious photo!
He's super smart.
He holds my hand.
He calls me honeybunch.
He takes me to Monster Trucks.
He loves me even when I'm not perfect.
And he makes this great face in pictures...
The end.

Nursing Program

Last week I turned in my nursing application for nursing school. I'm glad I turned it in a little bit early because this last week has been crazy! (I will post about that later) Anyway, I had to turn in some other papers besides just the nursing application that I didn't know about so I had to keep going back to the nursing office at EA and talk to the secretary there. Anyway, this past week Chris's grandfather passed away (which is why my week has been so crazy with the funeral and viewings and everything) and one of Chris's relatives is an instuctor for the nursing program at EA. I'm good friends with her and when I went to go and see the school councelor about all the paperwork for applying, she added up my "points" (which is the letter grades for all my classes I have taken) and I have a point score of 23 points. The school councelor told me that they have accepted students with point scores as low as 14. The councelor also told me she would be way surprised if I did not get accepted in the program. So I left feeling pretty confident, then when I turned in my application, I realized how many people were applying and then I started feeling pretty nervous about it. At the luncheon after the funeral, I was talking to Chris's relative and I asked her about my point score, and when she heard what it was she said, "Just go and buy your books. I'll be your teacher next semester." And I said, "Really?" And she said, "I have no doubt that you will be accepted in. If you aren't I will be super surprised." So that made me feel a ton better about applying. So now is just for the time of sitting and waiting for a month and a half before I can hear if I am accepted into the program. I'm excited though because if I get in here at this program, then I won't have to leave Chris! These are some pictures that we took after the viewing on Sunday. He wanted to get a picture of us all dressed up. (And no, Kim/Collette, they are not engagement pictures yet) ;)
