Paper

Right now I am sitting at the computer thinking about doing my public speaking paper that is due on Monday but I just really don't want to work on it. 1000 words doesn't seem like much until you have to sit and make an informative speech that long. Oh well, maybe I will do it tonight, or tomorrow, or Sunday night, or early Monday morning and it will get done. Mostly I just want Chris to get off work so that way we can go and do something! Maybe that is why I'm procrasinating. Oh well, it will get done and will be good. I'm just super excited that I have my nursing application turned in!!! Now I just have to wait until probably either the end of April or the beginning of March to here what I need to do before school starts in August, which will be another super long list of things to accomplish. Just keep a prayer in for me that I will get accepted and I can start moving forward in my education!

Snow Day

All winter long I have really wanted to go and play in the snow and last Thursday Chris asked me on a date to go up to the mountains on Saturday to play in the snow! I was so excited! We invited Erica and Jake to come too and we ended up with three little girls that wanted to go also. We made a snow man family and our snowpeople turned out huge!!! It was a blast making them! When we first got there, we had a picnic, which was ham and cheese sandwiches with some chips. Then we made the snowman and about halfway through making the snowmen, another group of people showed up that had sleds and they let us use one for a little while. I got videos but I will have to post them another day cause I'm super tired right now. Anyway one of the little girls got hurt on one of the runs, so we decided it was probably time to go. We played in the snow for about two hours but the time went by so fast! And yes, I'm not even wearing a jacket. We found a spot where it was too hot with a jacket and only too cold without one when a snowball fight broke out. Here are some of our pictures from our crazy day in the snow!

New baby Goats

Our other momma goat had her babies on Sunday morning. I went out to go and check on her before church and she was cleaning up a baby goat! I was so excited! I called my dad and said, "Hey we have another goat!" And then I looked at the momma goat and she had another goat coming!! I decided that I was going to be late for church so I could see this baby goat be born, and all of the sudden he was here! Since I got to see this one be born, my family said I could have it so I named him (with Chris's help) Percy. Don't ask why, we decided this was what we were going to name him. The first picture is a size comparison of Percy and Henry (Henry is one week older than Percy and his brother) and the second one is the second momma goat and Percy and his brother (I don't know if he has a name yet or not) and the third one is of the first baby goat after he was born. The one that doesn't have a name yet. All three of the baby goats born are boys so we have three baby boy goats! And the little black one is mine!!

HESI Test

I PASSED MY NURSING TEST!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!! This means I am one step closer to getting into nursing school. That is my happy thought for today. I think that equals about 5 happy thoughts for the day! I got an 84% overall on the whole test, which isn't the best, and I could have done better, but I'm happy with the score I got.

February 10 Thoughts

1. Waking up to a text message that just said "I love you" from my favorite person Chris!



2. Getting out of Public Speaking 10 minutes early.



3. Watching some people dance to Renaisance music in World of Music class. Okay actually the dragon's mighty roar was the best thing.

4. Picking a topic for my informative essay finally and starting to write it, but as I was writing it, I realized I was leaning towards a different side of what I want to talk about, so I'm probably going to change it. Oh well it's due after Spring Break anyway!

5. Chris making my day get 10x's better by imitating a turkey, very randomly, during American Idol!

New Project (Hopefully)

I was reading my friend's blog and she had this great idea to write down the good things that happened to her during the day so she can see the little blessings. I think that is a great idea! So I'm going to try this. It probably won't be everyday but I'm going to try and do this as often as I can. I'm going to start for yesterday, February 9.

1. Having a good coworker that is willing to help out whenever I get overwhelmed.

2. My best friend getting the notes for me at class when I got off work late and was late for class!

3. Being able to get dressed up in my old prom dress to go to our Relief Society Meeting with Mt. Graham 4th Ward. (Love these girls! I need to try and see if I can get a picture from the event!)

4. Our AWESOME shadow leaders making a delicious Valentine's Day Dinner for all of the Relief Society Meeting!

5. Sister Crockett being amazing and finding the most delious strawberries in all of Gila Valley for our chocolate heart cake and chocolate covered strawberry dessert. It was super delicious and I loved the strawberries! I wonder where she found them when they aren't in season right now?

Orange...?

Chris's favorite color is orange, and I'm not a huge fan of orange but I have some orange shirts that I have bought that I keep because i know that he likes it. His other favorite color is blue. One night I wanted to surprise him and I went over to his house and he didn't even know I was wearing both of those colors because I was wearing a sweater and I told him I had a surprise so I took of my sweater and he saw my orange shirt and he was so happy! Haha it was funny. He said we had to take a picture so we did. We don't know what the weird shawdow is on my but we don't really care. It was a fun time!!

Baby Goats

Last Saturday we had a baby goat! Well, two actually but the second one didn't live for very long. We have this new baby boy goat. We named him Henry. He has been lots of fun! We are waiting for the second mama goat to have her babies and we will probably have two more baby goats joining our family! We will see how many come though!!

New Boots

I ordered some awesome boots today! I think they are awesome anyway! They are totally me and this brand of boot is super comfortable and these boots will go with more outfits then the other boots I have. Pretty much, I'm weird, I know, but hey I love these boots!

Going to school

I'm not sure where I want to go to nursing school. I have applied at NAU, and I'm finishing my application for EAC and I'm also going to apply for Pima Community College in Tucson. But what if I get accepted into all three? Then where am I going to go? And what if I get accepted into none of them? It's been a very stressful time for me! I have way too many tests to take and papers to turn in/find, and I need to apply for either a scholarship/grant or something to help me to afford college. Man growing up is hard stuff! And stressful too!!

Monster Trucks and Moving

This last weekend Chris and I went to Mesa to help his brother and sister-in-law move to a new apartment. We left when we got out of school about 4 o'clock and we got to his brother's house at about 6:30 which was when they were starting to load everything into the U-haul truck. We got to work and had all of the furniture and a ton of boxes loaded as full as we could get it by like 7:30- 8 or so. After we loaded everything up, all of us were so hungry so we loaded up into the car and went to go and find some food. We wanted Mexican food and some donuts. We went to Dunkin' Doughnuts and they were closed. So then we went to Fry's and they had no doughnuts at all in their bakery, so we went to Wal-Mart and they had none either. Then we decided we were super hungry (it was like 9:30 by this time) so we went to Filiberto's to get some dinner and decided to try Krispy Kreme and see if they were still open. We got the directions and got there right at 10:00 and they were closed!!!! They didn't even answer the drive thru!! We were pretty upset about that so instead of getting doughnuts, we went and got some frozen custard at Freddy's or something like that. And that was super super good! By the time we got back to the apartment, we were so tired that we sat on the floor, ate our dinner, and then went straight to bed! The next morning Chris's brother had to take a test for his teaching job and he was going to be testing all day long so the three of us (Me, Chris, and his sister-in-law) had to unload the U-Haul without any of the elder's quorum help. (they were going to come at 5 pm and we had to have the U-Haul back by 6 so we had to do the bulk of the work.) We carried boxes and heavy stuff for all day long. The night before, Chris's sister texted Chris and asked him if we wanted to go to the Monster Truck Rally for Saturday night at the Chase field and we wanted to but we didn't know if we would be done in time or not. We got done in time and told his sister to get the tickets for us and we were going. As soon as we got everything unloaded we drove over to the old apartment and showered real quick because we were all sweaty and nasty and hurried over to Chase field. We were all exhausted but looking forward to doing something that wasn't unloading boxes!! This was my first time being to a Monster Truck anything so I didn't know what to expect, but when we got into the stadium, they had the trucks all on the big screens and I was immediately in love with this idea of Monster Trucks!! Chris didn't think that I was going to like it, and I surprised myself with how much I did like it! It was so much fun! I was so so so mad though because we left in a hurry after school and I left my camera in my backpack so we didn't have a good camera, only our camera phones (which just aren't as good as a good camera) but we took some pictures and some videos and had a blast! When Monster Trucks got over we drove back to his brother's old apartment, and had to drive clear to the other side of Phoenix to stay at his sister's house because that is where his dad was staying and we needed to give him a ride home on Sunday. When we got to Chris's sisters house, it was almost one in the morning and we were both exhausted because we had to drive an hour back to his brother's house and then an hour to his sisters house so it was really late. We got there and they were all watching a movie and so I went and got ready for bed because I was way too exhausted to do anything and I watched the movie for about five minutes before I decided I was too tired to watch it and I grabbed my pillow and layed down on the floor and fell asleep. I was almost asleep when Chris woke me up and asked if I wanted to go sleep on the couch but his sister and brother-in-law and dad were watching the movie on the couch so I told him when the movie was over to wake me up and I would move. The next thing I remember was it was four thirty in the morning and I was still on the floor and my body was so sore from working and then sleeping on the floor. I looked around and Chris was sleeping on one end of the couch and his dad was sleeping on the hide-a-bed and so I crawled over to the couch with my pillow and blanket and I situated myself into the little corner that was there and then I fell asleep with my legs over Chris's and my head next to the hide-a-bed. I stayed asleep until eight thirty when I woke up because I was about to pee my pants and Chris was awake and he looked at me and then got up. When I came back he was laying on the hide-a-bed and he asked me if I wanted to go to church and I said, "I really want to go back to sleep. I'm so exhausted I can't even function." And he said, "Me too." And then we slept until noon! That was the latest I have slept in in a long long time. I don't know the last time I slept that long. After we decided to wake up and get ready for the day we drove back over to Chris's brothers old apartment because they had some stuff for us to take to the new apartment, but they weren't done cleaning it yet so we all pitched in and finished cleaning the old apartment, then went to the new apartment to unload everything, went and got some dinner, and then drove home. We didn't get back home until 10:30 at nighttime. We went and unloaded everything at Chris's house and then Chris took me home. It was a fun, busy weekend.
